Artist description
If we could have taken Meat Beat Manifesto and Curve and Front 242 and Brian Eno and smashed them into a tiny closet to make an album- well, that's what we were going for anyway. Our releases were picked up for distribution in the Projekt catalog, and that might tell you what other people thought it was all about. |

Artist History
Allison with One was born out of a desire to melt all of the things we liked about music together into one big pot. What we didn't count on was that we needed to know a little more about music to pull that off. We recorded and released our first album, While Drifting, in 1995. Work on a follow-up progressed during school breaks and vacations while we enlisted a handful of friends and compatriots to remix songs from While Drifting. Those remixes became Broken Sound vol. 2, a disc we packaged with the finished version of Static Hum as an adventurous double-CD. People left or fell out of the group, and in 1998 with a batch of new demos in hand, Allison gasped her last breath and was gone. |
