Artist History Will Carroll ,singer, songwriter,musician...from Connecticut,a great place to grow up,even if it's in a housing project, in a mill town with 10 brothers and sisters ...my mom, was great on the piano, my dad came home from surviving D-day,and being among the first troops to liberate the survivors of the german camps,and then was a fireman all his life,so was my older brother,who is now chief of police in Watertown CT. and two more older brothers,marines, who were both in Vietnam,at the same time ...and one of my sisters is a teacher, another an artist,an so on, and was the tradition with large Irish/Sicilian families,you give one ...to the church,that was me,I remember when the priest visited my mother and said he saw something in me, so I spent some time at a monastery ,as a vow of silence was goin on ,very strange, but I couldn't close myself off like that,too hard, so I started a band with my friends and went that way...played in a lot of bands with some now famous people, been on the same bill with Ringo Starr and All Stars(Joe Walsh,Todd Rundgren,Timothy B. Schmidt,Burton Cummings of Guess Who)Yes(with Rick Wakeman),J Geils,Greg Allman,Joe Ely,Bonnie Raitt,and Michael Bolton was lead guitar& singer for one of my earliest bands..anyways...made some records ya know...traveled all over the place playin ,havin fun...long story short,so now I'm down in Dallas Texas...playin out every now an then, working on some new songs,and life still goes on an on an on an on...... ya know, people ask me and send me e-mails,sayin "hey Will,how come I never heard of you before ? where you been hidin ? well okay I sort of dropped out of the tourin biz about 15 yrs ago now,when my ex-wife and best friend to this day,Angela,was diagnosed with MS. Angela was with me,in fact I met her one night in New Haven,CT.when I was in a band with Michael Bolton way back when,she was a singer and had an all girl band,I did some roady work for them for a while(oh yeah ,good times) .if you don't know about MS ,it is the worst,most painful disease of all, I have dedicated my life to caring for her,making the best of the time she has left,and making every moment as easy as I possibly can.its hard for both of us,I only play out now and then and plan well in advance as to make sure she is cared for. if any of youse out there feel the need to help a cause in some way,please give what you can to the MS society an support events sponsored in your local area,please, you'll be glad you did... that's why the internet is a great thing for me,you get to hear what now holds my sanity in check,my music... John Lennon said in his song"life is what happens to you,while your busy making other plans" if you have someone in your life that you love, please get up off your computer right now and go tell them "I love you" ... thanks for listenin to my music,you don't know how much I appreciate it and hearing from youse all... later down the trail...
