Artist description
The Blue Tree Project is led by Boston-based poet Lawson Hancock. Lawson’s enigmatic persona is imprinted on the music which ranges from acoustic ballads to rock/pop and electronica. It’s an eclectic blend of sounds from a group of accomplished musicians who share a wide range of musical backgrounds and are grounded by Lawson’s rich vocal textures. |

Artist History
Lawson Hancock has been singing and writing poetry since his early teens. Armond Blackwater is a New Orleans blues musician and beat poet who has numerous recordings to his credit performing solo as well as with various bands, including The Blackwater Tribe. Kevin Fisher and Ebby are members of the Minnesota-based death metal band Zephaniah. James Fernquist is the leader of the band Christendom and also worked with the New Orleans-based group Lorenzo’s Tractor whose sounds influenced Nine Inch Nails ‘The Fragile’. |
