Artist History
Reflecting the realities of 21st century urban angst and the Canadian
wilds, Pan Out Now have re-emerged onto the modern rock scene with new
tracks South Drive, Decline and Hello, Open Road.
The band lists the power of Native drummers EagleHeart, the guitar
stylings of Filter, the epic perspective of Pink Floyd and Rush's
progressive sensebilities as some of their musical muses. They call it
Recombinant Rock. It's new. It's unusual, and it works. This unyielding
raw strength and urgency of the Pan Out Now sound -- fuelled by drums,
bass, guitar and piano
undulating beneath male and female co-vocals are proof it works - big
time. And seriously-- it's a big sound.
If you're looking for Pan Out Now you'll find them in Europe this
summer. Tourstops include Holland, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.
They return back to Canada in the fall to begin plans on a new album and
a trek south side..... |

Press Reviews
"There is a lot of great song writing to be found on this album and I can see that AOR radio stations would love this on their late night playlist. Three words - DROP DEAD GORGEOUS ... listen to it closely, give it many, many plays, tell your friends and bring this band the success they deserve." Ian Oakely Bathtub of Adventures, UK. ____________________________ ".. PAN OUT NOW involves the listener in an adrenalinic world made of neons, lights, crowds, cars...the cement jungle swallows him! The production is powerful and clean at the same time...a must for all the radio stations all over the world...Instructions: play it LOUD!!!!" Savoldi Volpi, DJ, Mystery Tour Radio Show, Radio Onda D'urto, Italy ____________________________ "....a beautifully recorded album....incorporating clever political lyrics, image, musicianship and style.." The sound is very good and I don't know ifthis credits the technology of today orthe musicians involved here...perhaps both. This is a very dynamic album. Heavy rock songs like "Satellite" and "Chronomes" are balanced by the serenity of songs like "Here Now In The Knowing" and "Reverie". Strange Tales From The Urban Circle takes you on a journey, and I sureloved the ride!!!" Eduard van Viegen, DJ, RockDreams Radio Show, Radio 90 FM The Netherlands ____________________________ "Progressive and adventurous power pop, successfully blending elements of Rush with Adrian Belew. Tightly played instrumentation with strong vocals, all woven with confidence and verve. I truly look forward to more fine tunes from PAN OUT NOW." Ribeau, Deep Art Radio Show, KVNF/KDNK, USA ____________________________ "A brave new cd with thought provoking lyrics and plenty of keyboard and guitar riffs that will have you listening to it over and over." Steve Taaffe Internet Radio Free Kansas ____________________________ "Refreshing, popular rock of mainly song oriented compositions with a kind of jazzy feel and a funky groove at times. Great musical skills and excellent vocals by male and female leads... the low tones are well cared for by a wonderful production." Overall 4 out of 5 points. CDelight, D.P.R.P, The Netherlands ____________________________ "...one of the highlights of 1999 ! 9 points (out of 10)" D.U.R.P Progressive Review Pages, Germany |
