Artist description
BIOGRAPHYLiving Daylytes are a band that has both a unique and yet familiar sound, which began life late in the summer of 1999. Founded by Mat Hammond and Nate Shivers as a studio project that has now gone out of control, the band has a strong backbone of songs, with hooks that will pull you in and not let you go. Stylistically speaking, the band has been described as "the Sex Beatles", with strong guitars married to melodic vocal arrangements, but there is much more to it than that. With the help of long-time friend and producer Robbie Watson, Mat and Nate have managed to create a blend of their different musical tastes and backgrounds which encompasses influences from almost every genre, and every decade, since the dawn of rock n roll.On top of the creative bed lies an impressive and strong live band. With the addition of Peter Mott and Ski, who perform the roles of drums and bass respectively, Living Daylytes find themselves performing to increasingly larger and larger crowds and one thing has become evident, the audience is listening and they like what they hear. |

Artist History
LIVING DAYLYTES were formed in November 1999 by Mat Hammond and Nate Shivers, two prolific songwriters that needed a vechicle for their ever increasing output of material. Along with drummer Peter Mott and bass player Ski Pedretti the bands "demos" evolved into a soon to be released cd of their collective work. |
