Artist History
The Pantherz opened for business in 1993: Terry(guitar/vocals)and Arnold (drumz) saw a Van Halen video, and that was it! The Pantherz then hired Corey to render his services on the bass. The band released an 8 song e.p. entitled, "Gravitational Pull". The e.p was limited to 50 copies, and quickly sold-out. The band then released the "tide you over" cd entitled, "Polar Opposites". It received great reviews and was played heavily on the CFCR community radio station. In 2001, the band, now joined by bassist S.J. Kardash, released their first mass-produced album "the last two million years". Junior Pantherz took this cd all over the country side and it was clear this record was a big leap from the others. Most recently, the band has released their most exciting album to date, "Ballistics". The guys now plan to tour the crap out of their van and expose their music and themselves to as many people as possible. |

Press Reviews
"This sophomore release from this Saskatoon based trio had me feeling nostalgic for old Homestead and SST records. Taking cues from Dinosaur Jr., Lemonheads and Volcano Suns, this 12 track disc features all the things that made those bands and their early records so likeable-questionable production, less than perfect vocals, over fuzzed guitars and the ability to get quiet. But most importantly, Polar Opposites contains great songs and hooks, which is what distinguishes good bands from the rest". Stuart Green, Exclaim! Magazine |
