Artist History H.A.D. started out in the spring of '94 as Johnny Clapp and the ClapTones. Tragically, young Johnny's career as the world's fastest clapper was snuffed out in an ill-fated motorcycle race that severed both his hands and killed him instantly. Now, in an effort to overcome the crushing depression brought on by the loss of Clapp, H.A.D. continues to write songs and play in Northwest clubs. H.A.D.'s unique sound is the result of four distinct musical backgrounds brought together into an unlikely yet extremely tight-knit group, prone to genre-leaping and often genre defiance.
