Evan Silva fronted 60s band The Action which featured a number of New Zealand pioneering musicians including Jack Stradwick (a founding member of Tommy Adderley's Headband). The group recorded several singles and played nightclubs and concerts in Auckland and took up residencies across the Tasman in Sydney in the late 60s early 70s during the Vietnam war r'n'r period. Evan and his wife Carol became Christians in the late 1970s after a powerful life changing experience. Evan has been pastoring churches in New Zealand for a decade and a half and has writes and performs some of the most rhythmicand soulful gospel, jazz and blues songs you're likely to hear anywhere.
