Artist description
I write new romantic and classical music for piano.
I use an emotional compass to guide me, rather
than thinking in terms of the form first; I let
the form develop with the mood. I don't
consciously think about other composers. I try
to create an authentic emotional journey.
I have studied the classics extensively; I have
a BA in music composition. You will hear
influences from the masters, but I think you'll
hear my own voice as well. |

Artist History
I began taking piano lessons in 1976; I was 16.
Within 3 months, I was composing for piano;
my first piece was inspired by The Pink Panther
theme. Since then, my influences have come mostly
from Classsical and Romantic music, and jazz.
During the decades since, I have written
hundreds of compositions, mostly for the piano,
but I've also written for voice, string quartet,
and woodwind quintet.
It makes me happy when people enjoy my music.
I have always tried to create beauty; these days
that's a rare destination. |
