Artist History I've played "folk" since the latter days of the Kingston Trio, and feel a deep inner connection with traditional Scots/Irish and related music. Lessons and encouragement from Al Petteway moved me toward fingerstyle instrumentals, which I tend to play in DADGAD or DADGBE tuning. I've tried to learn Petteway's 'touch', which is very similar to Martin Simpson's. El McMeen's delicate treatment of traditional melodies has been a continuing inspiration, as has Robin Bullock's masterful flatpicking of jigs and reels.
