Artist History
The Genesis of Big Left Turn ...from Dreamship...BLT...We've come along way, to think anything elseLike a ship around the world, out at seaWe've taken our time, can't think of anything else to sayI'm glad you're on this voyage with meIt's my Dreamship...I know you feel the same... Imagine having a rock 'n' roll band. That in itself is a tale waiting to be written. Imagine having a killer crew and a magic ship on which to sail... Dockside that night, Rick and Bobby knew what they had... They had been playing together since 1990 when Bobby walked into the 34th Street rehearsal hall. The room was big and black and ready to hack. Rick was standing in front of a stack of cabinets blow drying his hair with extreme volume. He expected to meet Bobby that night but was not ready the moment it happened. They both laugh about that meeting...that night. It was the beginning. It was the first night of a musical voyage that has become the Big Left Turn project. ...Dockside, 1997, Craig LeMay came strolling up the gangplank. A welcome addition to complete the lineup for a power trio. Bobby and Rick had compiled plenty of material and vocal arrangements to begin to draw on for a project that would target movie sound tracks and commercial promotion sales. With the addition of Craig, they got more than a drummer. The percussion influence on their unique rock style has created a newboy sound of its own. The new release of Dreamship (BLT01) is the first product to be marketed by the band. Bobby, Craig, and Rick have completed enough material to record two more releases. Big Left Turn will record and finish a follow up release in September 2000. There is also plenty of acoustic material to be dealt with. Just Ask! Believe it or not every song is a story about the band or the result of a breeze that filled their sails! CAN WE SAIL AWAY |
