    Artist description
Thick, textured destructo-pop, that, at its bleakest moments, teeters on the edge of melancholy and gothic darkness, but for the most part rolls with dissonance through angular suburban art punk that never lets go of its paranoid anguish and gladly bows to dramatic rock hooks when the mood takes. As well as double synthesizers going from schizo piano stylings, to lost video game soundtracks, to squemish minimal krautrock-esque noise, the ensemble includes cut-throat guitars, three vocalists, the odd tape loop, theremin, saxaphone, drum machine, trumpet, strings, and a rolling and crashing rythm section that trys to hold everything together. Rock 'n' roll has turned on itself again.

    Artist History
One girl and four boys hailing from Melbourne, Victoria Australia, The Vivian Girls (named after the fictional characters from the epic sciptures and murals of Chicago outsider artist, Henry Darger) have thrown out a refreshing acidic sound since their beginnings in mid '99,perhaps inspired moreso by the agitated musical obscurities and unsavouries of generations past than from the current state of the neat-casual, whispered-guitar post-rock scene that surrounds them.
