Artist History
The Ranch Girls and their band have been performing since 1991, playing rock-a-billy / hillbilly based songs with female harmony vocals, songs from their heroes as well as originals, most of them written by Mary Ann.Their first show was the 15 of June 1991 in Amsterdam. A few years later the name of the band "The Ranch Girls and the Drifting Texans" was changed into "The Ranch Girls and the Ragtime Wranglers".So much has happened since then:- the band got Dutch, German, Finnish, Belgium and Japanese record releases, three 45's, four EP's and three CD's. - they performed at all major Rockabilly festivals in Europe (4 times at the major Hemsby festival in the UK), went to the USA three times and played at major Country & Western festivals in almost every European country,- the Ragtime Wranglers accompanied artists like: Sid and Billy King, Hardrock Gunter, Curtis Gordon, the Collins Kids, Larry Donn and more |

Since June 1999 the line-up has been as follows: Ranch Girls Mary Ann (below, right) and Mary Lou (below, left) backed up by "The Ragtime Wranglers": Joe (guitar/steel-guitar); Sietse (drums); Patrick (bass) and Jerome (mandolin). The band still hangs its hats in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. |
