    Artist History
"Synthetic Dreams" was formed in 1993 by two guys: Andrew Slonchinsky (SLON) and Pavel Bertosh (IF). Being teens we loved to listen to the music of Depeche Mode. We were and still are the biggest fans of this band! We wanted to create some music in this style, so we started to play together (guitar and piano) - thanks God, we had some musical education (Belorussian Musical Lyceum). But this was not enough to create the music, that we wanted. So, having composed our first song "GIRL" in 1994 we asked one of our friends to give us his Ensoniq... We started to work with having no idea, what a sequencer seems to be or even what pattern are :). We learned at this time how to use a real electronic keyboard. In 1994 we have also composed our "TRUTH" , "In The Silence Of The Night" and some other tunes. In 1995 we wanted to be heard, we wanted to know is our music good enough to be heard by people. We paid 50 $ for one day of mastering and recorded our song "TRUTH" at a studio in Minsk. We asked our friend Alexey Klimovich to sing the vocals because we thought that our vocals are too bad for this powerful song. So, the recordings were finished and we sent the tape to "BA" FM radio station - on the 22 of September 1995 the whole Minsk heard our "TRUTH"!That was great! But only once... :( But we didn't stop our activity. We joined another band "Mad About Sound" and participated in 2 concerts with them as members of this group. But we wanted more. In 1997 we met our old friend, who was the owner of small studio "Ocean Records" (he had Kurzweil 2500). We started to work together. During this period 1997-99 we remastered, remixed and re-recorded our old songs and composed: "DREAMS" (1997), “Space Ride” (1997), "3 Minutes Of Flying" (1998) and "TRUTH (Dance Mix)" (1998).In 1999 we were asked to record one song "The Universe Is On Fire!" for MaxSHOW club (for Christmas party)... We also took part in some recording as arrangers and text writers for various artists and bands... Then our studio were closed due to some financial problems and we lost all our materials (master waves and many of our midi-files)... We didn't find the need of our music for people in our country... So, we almost stopped to write the music we love :( But in 2000 we've found our old audio cassette with our tracks and gave the second chance to the whole world to listen to our music :) We recorded our tracks to PC from tape-recorder, did our best to remove hum and clicks, encode our music in mp3 format and upload it on www.mp3.com!
