Press Reviews From the Philippines Enquiere May 2000:ORGY POP is a collection of eclectic original material written, produced and performed by Itsik Romano and Mitch Magonet. The album was launched in Montreal late in 1998. It has since received heavy radio play in Canada, USA, Israel and Japan. The music is a mix of a cool Indie sound with a new age edge resulting in a totally new style and approach to music. Shades of Donavan sprinkled in an original style makes for an interesting album with several catchy songs that will certainly permeate your brain and have you singing them in the most unexpected places. Itsik Romano had a chart-hitting single in Israel when he was 16 years old with his then group NOON BET. The group had several appearances on radio and on national TV. In 1991 Itsik immigrated to Canada where he continued his musical career as a writer, performer and producer. He played with several Jazz and Blues bands (Blue Train & BackBone blues) culminating in a performance at the famed Montreal International Jazz festival in 1995. He has also contributed as a vocalist and keyboard player on a WORLD BEAT album released internationally in 1999 entitled ERETZ. Orgy Pops birth came when Itsik collided with Mitch Magonet and a new entity was formed. The album contains several radio hits including Final track, A Rain of Ourselves, Waste of Time and beautiful Loser.
