Artist History
His first public appearance was in June of 1992 at the 8x10 in Baltimore. Immediately, he was noted for his theatrical approach to music. With his combination of poetic lyricism and his psychedelic blues sound, Joe Roads gained the reputation of being epic and dramatic. In October of 1994, Joe(an alumnus of Ringling School Of Art And Design), began touring different parts of the U.S. making extended stops in West Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and, California. Working with producer/engineer Michael R. McAree, Roads has been able to record and release 6 albums of all original material under his own Roadhouse Record label. In a recent review, Music Monthly's take on Joe Roads was simple: "...Joe Roads could be the musical messiah for the year 2000." |
