Artist description
Our sound is a mix of western swing and Nashville shuffle music of the fifties and sixties. We carry twin fiddles and six vocalists. Everyone dresses in rhinestones and our stage show is pure entertainment. We are NOT a human jukebox. Our show is geared to grandstand shows, conventions, rodeos, and most of all, television. We have over 250 network television shows in the can, and continue to tour Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Leader Brian Sklar has been in the entertainment business for 30 years, and drummer, AAron Sklar just turned 26. So the group appeals to all ages and demographics. If you hate country music, this is the band that will make a believer out of you. |

Artist History
The band was born in 1970, as the Prairie Fire Band. In 1995, we acquired a female vocalist for the first time, and went to twin fiddles instead of using a steel guitar. At that point, the band's name was changed to the Tex Pistols...reflecting the type of music we play.We have a total of 21 albums recorded, six of which are still available. The group has earned a number of awards over the years. All are listed on our web page. |
