Artist History
Playing a fresh blend of pop/punk sounds and timeless hooks, As Advertised is one of Iowa’s finest young talents. Hailing from the small town of Jesup, the band that first started in the basement is now bringing their songs to the masses. The band is currently busy promoting its brand new album: "Let's Just Be Friends". Released in the spring of 2001, this album is an excellent collection of this band's talent. Be sure to check it out now, as you will be hearing about from your friends later. |

Press Reviews
"Peppy teen rock with plenty of pop hooks, melancholy melodies, and polite punk bite.
As Advertised don't shy away from mixing a little
jangle in with their harder sounds, in the end
coming up with a home-brewed, commercial sound"
-listen.com
"Punk bands with melody are huge these days, and
As Advertised play that style as good if not
better than most. Fast guitars, driving drums,
and fantastically sung vocals make this band,
and with their emotionally leaning lyrics, this
stuff should have a wide audience. One hell of
an emotional punk album that sure beats the hell
out of anything the kids are listening to on the
radio these days. The band has shown they can take
a relatively tired style of music and put
something new and original into it, and that goes
a long way. Keep an eye out for these guys."

"This stuff is really good."
