Artist History
Born in 1980 from the ashes of popular post-punk London band, the Valentines, Red Banner enjoyed success on the UK club circuit during the early 80s. Several times on the verge of mega-stardom with major record labels, the band never quite made it to the big time. But Red Banner's nucleus remains intact as an innovative writing and recording unit, creating high-quality, self-produced music from a studio beneath a Victorian villa in North London. |

Press Reviews
The UK's Sounds Magazine wrote: "Comparisons? A less poppy Orange Juice; a more poppy Comsat Angels; a less bland Police on the more commercial songs. They could achieve wide commercial success while still carrying a measure of provocation." |
