Artist History In January 1994, long-time friends Tim Macauley and Bryan Beck(a.k.a. The Undertaker) began a short-lived band appropriately called,The Living Room Band. They went on to form Polaris in the fall of 1994and the The Mountain Duo in the summer of 1995.In February 1996, they met an Irish musical virtuoso,Brian 'Chewie' Jeanseau. Torn between drums and guitar, Chewieeventually settled on the drums, making way for guitarist Jeffery Beck in November 1996.Born in storage unit #294, RECENTLY emerged to perform its first private show to friends in May 1997 at an outdoor barbecue. This wasshortly followed by their first public show in June 1997, held atJ.C.'s Pizzaria and backed by a set list of 19 songs. RECENTLY'sfirst studio recording session occurred on July 26 & 27, 1997, atFalcon Recording Studios in Portland, where the band recorded 5 songswith Dennis Carter. And on September 25, 1997, Portland's KNRKradio station played "Only Friend."The members of RECENTLY have since pursued different genres of music,with The Undertaker pursuing Christian, Chewie exploring Country, and Jeff independently recording and producing his very own "FADING TRACES"CD.
