Artist History
Pleasure Void was formed over ten years ago, in Virginia. Two of the members, Nero and Bonnie moved to NY. After some success, they then relocated to Cleveland, OH, home of Pere Ubu and the Dead Boys. It was here that they met Poindexter, and Uberdamen Lo. In June of 2000, the current Pleasure Void was born with the addition of Block. The sound is Lo’s powerful Alto voice, Block’s straining sonic wails, Poindexter’s driving bottom end, Bonnie’s rhythmic variations, and Nero’s sonic discharges. The music is pop-punk with alternative styling. The band has quite a reputation for it’s live performance, but now the songs will take center stage. The band is currently establishing a regional presence throughout the mid-west. |
