Introducing Rich Anna Records. It is a company stepping into the Millenium with a new way of dealing with the record industry. It is an exciting time right now for Artists, Managers, Producers, and Distributers. Rich Anna Records was founded by Richard Jackson, Producer/writer, and Stacy Davis, AKA Israel, to bring new light into the world of the Music Industry. The goal of this company is to establish a successful and resouceful reputation. We strongly feel that anything is possible if you believe.CEO Richard Jackson and President Stacy Davis (AKA Israel) would like to see people’s dreams come true. Thanks to many who have really helped and believed in us, and God being one of them, we were able to achieve our goals of success.Israel’s Music Industry Experience..the following is a reconstruction of one of Israel’s journal entries: “When I was 5 I saw a woman singing in a Christmas pagent and decided to join the church choir. That’s when I first discovered that I liked to sing. As the years passed I realized how much I enjoyed singing and that I would like to sing professionally someday. Also as I grew older I realized that there was more of an opportunity to sing, ouside of the church. So one afternoon I joined my sister and two other girlfriends in forming a singing group. We named the group “Evolution of Tracey” and found ourselves performing in showcases, community benefits, graduations, and even became a regular number at a downtown Seattle dance club. It was a great experience. Unfortunately, each of us became interested in different things, went seperate ways and caused our singing careers to end. However, in my case, it was not an end, but a beginning of something new and exciting. After doing some serious soul searching I realized that I loved music too much to let my dreams slip away. So I decided to start on my own as a soloist. That’s when a former singing partner introduced me to Richard Jackson, a producer and song writer. He was exactly what I needed. Since we met, Richard and I have worked on and practiced a number of songs. I remember when we first started out Richard came up with this schedule. I had to wake up at 6am each day to work on 12 songs, singing them several times.Richard Jackson started when he was about 16 years old performing in schools. He played a variety of instruments including trombone, bass guitar and drums. He loved music so much that he kept pursuing other ways to create music. Richard also had other interests but music seemed to be the only thing that stuck with him. So much music was inside of him, that he never took professional lessions, but taught himself amazingly to play “by ear”. In fact, people used to put sheet music in front of him but he would only pretend to be reading it, and eventually he simply became good at playing great music. Still, playing music was not enough because his desire was to write and produce, so he turned his focus to the piano and more modern technological resources, such as ASR-10’s, sound tools, sound modules, etc. Suddenly, he realized that his dream of becoming a true producer/writer was closer at hand. He mastered several instruments and learned how to use the proper machinery to create excellent sounds with a very unique style. Now we have 60 or more songs! Even though it was a hard schedule, we understood that practice is very important and that it shows in the material. Finally we went into the studio to actually record our songs. Then came the video recording of our single “Do Ya”. It was the best experience I ever had. It was so much fun seeing our music come to life in front of the camera. But the downside was the weather. Although it may have looked like it was hot and steamy in the video, it was actually freezing. During our filming dates it was winter and it was snowing. Aside from it all the video was incredible. I have to give thanks to the award winning directors, producers, editors, film crew, models, makeup artists, caterers and groupies...I can’t forget the groupies! The best thing you can possible do is surround yourself with people who really believe in you. Another experience I can remember was of a show. Before our performance, gun shots came through one of the windows. Richard asked the dancers and I if we felt safe and still wanted to go on. Everybody was down and the house was packed, so we decided to go for it. All of us were in sync and had strong faith and believed in what we were doing. So we got on with what we were supposed to do, put on a “bomb” show. After we performed, believe me, we left skid marks in the parking lot! It was an overated experience. Another experience happened after the show, when a couple of fans tried to bombard myself and the dancers. That’s when Richard had to call on one of his professional boxing friends to be the body guard for that night. We were all safe. One other example of things that go on in the business happened to us. We were booked for a show with great advertising posters, and all but the dancers didn’t show. But we went ahead and did the show and went home. The performance still turned out to be great. We got paid more than any average artist in that area that night. It turned out that we performed just fifteen minutes, but got paid the normal rate for a two hour set. It was the bomb.Love, Israel
