    Artist History
It all started when Igor's uncle, gave him his first guitar at the aged of 12 - a traditional Russian seven-stringed acoustic. lgor pulled off one string, returned it and never looked back. Instead Igor decided to play the loud rock guitar! He Spend his early years learning solos by ear from old reel-to-reel esp gurus such as Ritchie Blackmore. Wangled his way into Russian Red Army Song and Dance Ensemble for two years' compulsory military service, and toured from Moscow to Mongolia throwing in Western rock covers to round off traditional Russian programmes In 1986 Igor was playing hard rock covers in a local group, enrolled in the Jazz Guitar department of the Siberian College of Music in Irkutsk. But his study was interrupted by military conscription in 1987. In Britain, Igor played in a small Oxford band for a while, but frustrated with the different musical directions of his bands members, he decided to quit the band and started to write music on his own. When he moved to London, few months later, he attended part-time courses at MI and GIT in London, receiving tuition from Pete Langman and Shaun Baxter. By attending virtually all the big rock/metal bands' gigs in London, Igor started to be constantly inspired. And with full of musical idea he accelerated the compositions and production of Road Tested. His first solo project, a collection of daring guitar instrumental compositions!

    Press Reviews
Road Tested features the music and guitar playing of Siberia-born Igor Belsky. Now living in England, Belsky traded -50 degree winters for an electric guitar, and wrote, produced, recorded and mixed the ten instrumental tracks for Road Tested in 1998. Paying homage to his many influences, including Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Morse, Thin Lizzy and Michael Lee Firkins, Belsky lets it rip throughout the CD, incorporating chromatic picking, double stops, pseudo steel string bending, delay pedal arpeggios, two-handed tapping, swept lines, legato phrasing and more. Air guitarists heed this warning: playing along with "Adrenalin Junkie" will cause serious damage to fingers and arms.
