Artist History
Members Joshua Heinrich and Jaroslaw Myszewski formed entreat in October 1999 with two somewhat contradictory goals: 1. To explore experimental electronic and processed acoustic music and 2. To create more standard ethereal and electronic music for mainstream consumption.. These two goals led to a rather diverse project that at times can seem like several completely seperate bands. Some songs fall in the category of danceable electronic pop tracks like "Un Mundo Perfecto" while others are marked by Heinrich's stark minimalist guitar and ethereal vocals complimented by Myszewski's subtle electronics.. And still others fall in the category of experimental electronic music such as "Piece for Processed Acoustics and Peach Schnapps", a processed acoustic piece that was very well received by the academic electronic music community. entreat are planning on releasing 2 EPs in November 2000. One will be an EP of dance pop and ethereal tracks while the other will be an EP of experimental music. |
