Artist History
Divine Muzak was formed as a "one man show" in early 1999 by Dan Serbanescu. This side projekt shows another identity of the founder of Archaos, one of the few romanian ambient gothic-wave acts. Archaos was formed by Dan together with Radu Nicolescu in 1993 and the musical direction of the band was unique & strange for the local underground scene. The sound architecture of Divine Muzak is based upon ambient, experimental, noizzy structured industrials and tribal roots of the postmodern underground. The first unofficial release of DM [Fluxus] was produced between July and December 1999 & offers to the "musiclover" harsh and chaotic atmospheres in a more experimental direction. The second full-length album enhanced by Divine Muzak [Subhumandisorder] is still experimental, but more structured and a little bit more experienced than the first one. 50 minutes of noisy-ambient industrials atmosphere, almost minimalistic in essence, but full of expression and inventivity. Both releases are self produced and are available only in the CD-R format with laser printed covers and in limited editions |
