Artist History DAVID OSBORN was born in Tokyo Japan, the son of an american diplomat. David received the best education and training in various disciplines. David is a renowned Ethno-Musicologist able to speak many languages: Japanese, Romanian, Latin, Chinese and Spanish. After completing his B A in music at Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes College) he went to graduate school in Ethno-Musicology at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he studied Shakuhachi with Araki Kodo VIII and Pan Flute with Damian Luca. Most recently, he has studied Pan Flute in Romania with Gheorghe Dumitru Puiu Ene and Gheorghe Zamfir Mr Osborn is also a master craftsman of the Pan Flute, and makes and plays all his own instruments. David is also a dedicated practicioner of Yoga and a scientific investigator in the fields of Astrology and Philosophy. David's current ocupation is that of a private tutor and teacher. David Osborn is the Author of various musical pieces that will be featured on this web site, he has also written 2 novels and many teaching pamphlets on many subjects that interest him such as Chinese herbal medicine and astrological issues.
