Artist History
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, 3DayBig &Tall was founded in 1996 by San Francisco writer/musician Robert Duncan and his brother Lance, a guitarist, producer and commercial composer from Boston. Their debut CD, Everything Must Go, was released to critical praise in 1997. Robert Duncan, 3DayBig&Tall’s main songwriter, singer and rhythm guitarist, is former managing editor of the legendary Creem magazine. He went on to become a Rolling Stone contributor, bestselling biographer of Kiss, and author of The Noise: Notes from a Rock 'n' Roll Era (published by Houghton Mifflin). More recently, he has been a contributor to the Internet music magazine, Addicted to Noise. Lance Duncan, former leader of Boston cult band the Businessmen, has composed much of the promotional music for the Discovery Channel. The 3DayBig &Tall performing lineup is rounded out by bassist Ben Emmerich, formerly of Pocket Gopher, drummer Eric Semler, ex of Blue Coyotes, and, when we're lucky, pedal steel player Chaco Daniel, also a sometime Pocket Gopher member. Not to mention Tim O'Connor on co-lead guitar and the Amazing Larry Sweeny on everything else. |
