    Artist description
Twin Coast was an ambitious group from Indianapolis. Their music, though now considered "pop" was meant to provide textures beyond new wave and rock. At the time of this group's activity, most bands in Indianapolis were playing either big-hair heavy metal or total synth new-wave. Twin Coast attempted to blend many styles of music for a unique sound not heard in the area..

    Artist History
This band, long since disbanded, was formed in the early 80's by a group of music students at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The group went through several transitions, eventually settling into a core group of three individuals determined to create "fresh", new-sounding music. This was difficult in the wash of new wave so popular in the 80's.Songwriting was done primarily by the band's keyboardist and saxophonist, Steve Zapp. Some writing was contributed by bassist/guitarist Rich Palmer (known as Rich Anthony at the time). All members contributed to the overall sound and texture of the music after the basic framework of each song was written. The group eventually disbanded in 1986, but the music has remained. It is unknown by this author where Steve Zapp is today, but drummer Thom Braun has been involved in several projects over the years, including, but not limited to: Recording and touring with Jimmy Ryser, Recording and touring with Wonderdrug, Owning Rick's Drums in Indianapolis & more! Bassist Rich Palmer has been involved in many groups over the years as well. His most recent endeavors include performing with a popular cover band called Smarty PantZ in Dayton, Ohio and completing work on his collection of children's safety songs. He also performs with a "project" band called Knight Blaze that provides positive influence training for school children in Montgomery County, Ohio. He recently worked with original Christian artist Brad Surovec in his group "Expedition". He also performed for almost four years with the classic rock cover band, Midlife Crisis, based in Springfield, Ohio. Find more about Rich Palmer on his mp3.com site. Enjoy the sounds of Twin Coast. More cuts will be added in the future, but there certainly won't be anything new beyond 1986!
