Artist History
After a few false starts, SizeMatters took form in the bowels of 1999. Starting with lyrics and song concepts developed by Tom, they began to develop the SizeMatters sound. "Through the Window" and "Who Am I?" were some of the early works completed by the band. Soon after, theybegan to work on some of Carrie's lyrics and music written by Paul and Will. In July, 2000 they went into the studio to record a few demo tracks and three hours later they emerged from the studio with the full set of "live studio" recordings that is their first album "burst." Since then, SizeMatters has been playing the club circuit of the Albany, NY and surrounding area. They have also been working on new material, drawing further on the musical influences and creativity of each of the band members. The new songs being developed for the next SizeMatters album delve into more diverse musical arenas, divulging the varied musical backgrounds of the band members, and also drawing on that diversity to create what will prove to be an intriguing, as well as invigorating, musical collection. |
