Artist History
Nayon (pronounced Ny-On) started out studying musical thefatre in college while minoring in poetry, but less than a year went by and she found herself very unhappy. "I loved singing but was starting to get sick and tired of the whole showtune routine. I wanted to find my own voice and write my own material." So Nayon picked up the acoustic guitar her parents had given her in high school, and started putting together songs by using her poetry as song lyrics. In 1999 she teamed up with friend and producer Byron Estep and began the long recording process for her album, "Tales from the Other Side of Mr. Swedish Fish," a process that is still ongoing. The album will hopefully be released by March of 2003. In the meantime, please check for recording, gigs and other updates on Nayon's website: http://homepage.mac.com/starla9. At the moment Nayon is busy putting her demo together in order to start playing out. |

Press Reviews
"Nayon's voice is amazing - it is angelic yet devilish at the same time... Naughty and nice, sugar and spice, sexy, yet so, so innocent."-Siouxsie, a good friend of Nayon's |
