Molly Doll is a five-piece rock/pop/punk/riot grrl band based in Union, NJ. Influenced by Bikini Kill, Hole, the Lunachicks, Hole, Dance Hall Crashers, and Blondie, the band's sound has been compared to that of The Muffs, The Bangs, Hole, and early No Doubt. While Molly Doll has been together for several years, Fox Rock is the first full-length digital recording they have produced. The band has played regularly to its widespread fans in small venues and bars throughout New Jersey and New York City. When the lights go down and the amps turn up, the timeless battle between good and evil calls for a cease fire, and Molly Doll comes to life. To balance out three females, Joe is manliness times three, showing his hard rock/metal influences through his tight solos and raw guitar sound. The bass lines are punched out by John, the newest member of the band. Self-taught and sexy, the powerhouse keeping the rhythm is Christine, the Doll’s drummer. Playful behind her shiny guitar, Mina provides the rhythm chords and backing vocals. Moving to the front of the stage, lead vocalist Sherry pounds out the melodies as she dances up a storm. Combining attitude with sex appeal, Molly Doll has been known to have an enthusiastic stage presence, creating fun energy and passing it on to their audience.
