Artist description
It has always been my dream to produce "Lakbay Buhay" and turn it into an album, an actual play, or maybe a movie. The vision was slowly fading due to practical and financial reasons. Fortunately, current technology has offered me a new and revolutionary way of presenting this musical play. A "virtual venue" that has re-energized my lifelong mission. I'm still hoping that someday I will be able to achieve my original goal. Meanwhile, I have you as my first round audience in this experimental online theater. In the interest of conserving online time, I've summarized each scene and excluded some songs from the play. But I think it's enough to get my point across............SPECIAL NOTE: I would like to point out that I used some built-in intros and endings from my Roland EM-10 Creative Keyboard to record most of the songs. This was done to expedite the release of the demo version. I assure you, however, that the music, arrangements and lyrics of all the songs are original. Please be aware that in the final version, all the songs will have totally different intros and endings. I'm currently seeking assistance from other musicians to accomplish this task. |

Artist History
I started writing "Lakbay Buhay" over 20 years ago. It has gone through several versions, and I'm still rewriting it to this day. It's probably because there is no final edition of this play yet. Truthfully, I don't mind. It's a lot of fun to do. I was about 18 years old when I started putting this thing together in my head. It was my escape from any stressful event in my life. All I had to do was daydream about the scenes/songs and poof, natural high! Not that I did not use any other means to get up there, but it was mostly natural (or nature supplied :-). I think it's the creation element that sedates me, because I feel the same way when I'm programming (i.e. computer programming). The only difference between the two is that the latter puts food and beer on the table. |
