FRANKIE'S PLAYGROUND is the solo-band of German/South African power-rock vocalist Frankie Riester, and was recorded in the famous Area 51 Studios in Hannover, Germany where it was produced byTommy Newton (Conception, Victory, Headcrash, Phillip Boa, Terry Hoax, Helloween..)! This album is definitely one of the most promising newcomers in hardrock/metal and crosses various styles from Nine Inch Nails and Faith No More to Aerosmith and Black Sabbath. It is elegantly packaged and designed with a huge portion of originality and style, and is also distinctively stamped with a mind-blowing state-of-the-art sound. |

FRANKIE'S PLAYGROUND is the solo-band of German/South African power-rock vocalist Frankie Riester,decided to record this debut solo album after splitting up with his former German melodic hard rock band DEADLOCK with who he shared big festival stages (like The Daytona Europe Festival'97 and the Balinger Open Air '96) in Europe with the likes of ZZ TOP, RAINBOW, DAVID BOWIE, MIDNIGHT OIL, SPINDOCTORS, JAMES BROWN,SCORPIONS, DEEP PURPLE, SAXON AND MANOWAR just to mention a few. FRANKIE who's dream it was always to immigarteto South Africa, started his own record label RIESTER INTERNATIONAL RECORDS in Cape Town, South Africa early 1999.In the meantime RIESTER is one of the leading indie labels in South Africa and have signed a distribution deal withUNIVERSAL MUSIC for five different African countries.Frankie launched his label with his first label-artisit-singning, himself alias FRANKIE'S PLAYGROUND.
