Artist History
David and Byron have been working together for four years exploring the combination of the Australian didgeridoo and other indigenous instruments with the 12-string and National Steel Guitar. The duo has performed in a variety of Downtown venues ranging from theaters to conventional music clubs. They have also been active in the New York Fringe Festival and in the Music Under New York street musicians coalition. |

Group Members
DAVID CORTER- began playing didgeridoo seven years ago and has released an internationally acclaimed solo CD, Didgeridoo Mania on ARC Records. He has been playing as part of the Aboriginal Bluegrass project for almost four years and has been performing in the hit off-Broadway show Blue Man Group for almost six years. David appeared with the Blue Man Group on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and soon after was invited to tour Australia as a student of the didgeridoo, spending four weeks in the bush with Wardaman tribe elder/didgeridoo player Bill Harney. David lives in New York City. BYRON ESTEP- Before working with David Corter, Byron Estep released a CD of solo guitar pieces, The First Night, and played with violinist Matthew Pierce as part of the Unsung String Duo. Byron has performed in venues ranging from the Wooster Group's Performing Garage to Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. He has been a featured guest on WNYC radio's new music program "New Sounds" and has been a guest speaker/performer at the Juilliard school. He has been a performing member of the Blue Man Group Band for five years and recently co-composed the soundtrack for the Good Machine Productions feature film, THE LIFESTYLE, which is currently showing in theaters in most major U.S. cities. Byron lives in New York City. |
