Artist History
The Beatings self-released their debut EP "6 Hz" to critical acclaim in 2001. The EP garnered praise from the Village Voice, All Music Guide, and college papers up and down the East Coast. The Beatings began touring, garnering comparisons to Mission of Burma, the Pixies, and Yo La Tengo, and gained a loyal following in New York and Boston. In 2002 they joined with Midriff Records and released "Italiano", their first full-length. |
