Artist History
The 5KC started out as a joke between friends at a Twins game. A highschool band that grew and changed beyond its original scope. Of the four friends at the game, only two of them became founding members of the $5000 Club. The original line-up consisted of Luke Moravec on drums, Matt Derichs on bass, Drew Stevenson on guitar, Peter Vogel on keyboards/trumpet, and Courtney Flynn on vocals. In 1999 Derichs moved on to other interests and was replaced by Shawn Kmetz who in turn moved on in 2001. Pete and Courtney also moved on to other projects. We wish them well. Begining summer 2001 The 5kC welcomes Linda Johnke and Gina Martino to vocals, and Peter Kuhlman to bass. |
