Artist description
Sweet melodies and fat guitars That may be the best description for soylent green's musical creation. Indie-pop is stirred about a bit with US-Alternative rock and here and there a few supercharged, grungey elements surface. Lyrically and musically the band's tunes always buzz with emotion, whether pensive, ecstatic or raging. In terms of influences, anything goes, but Weezer and the Smashing Pumpkins certainly count amongst the bands whose music has inspired the members of soylent green on their musical journey.Perhaps if these two bands were locked in a rehearsal room and forced to write a bunch of songs, the outcome might be similar to the work of soylent green.Of course, such a union is utterly preposterous, and will never occur, so if you're after epic pop songs with more hooks than an abattoir, then soylent green is your band. |

(LA akt, review of sg-CD "believe"); "This recording should see Soylent Green raised to the premier league of German Alternative-Bands; they could well be "the next big thing"...
