Artist description
Scarry Carnival MusicReshure is all about juxtaposition. I enjoy the effect of putting "fluffy" music in with "scary" vocals, its golden. I enjoy playing with the sounds of many different instruments and mixing up textures and delightful transitions...It's heaven to me. And having a brightly colored (ambiguous) cover when the music is very dark. I live in the idea that all my music is linked like brothers and sisters and that no matter how different my newer music is from the older music, it is still the same. Lyrically, I focus on nature and the idea of being dead in the scenery and a part of it all...seems more dignified to me than these concrete places. Reshure is my perception of the world...Unfortunatly, if I describe what I like about my music like this, not many people would share this angle of appreciation, and thus, I don't think its a very good description. |

Press Reviews
Proper fusion of Industrial and Ambient elements tosses you into a panicked state. Tortured vocal clips writhe across ever-changing mixes of schizophrenic breaks, flimsy piano melodies and heavy electronic distortion. Melissa P. Of Listen.Com "I'm not fucking with you when I say your music realy moves me. The trip hop beats blend beautifully with the creepy vocals and clasical sounds. I don't know what else to say."-St. Johns Eve "At the tender young age of 19, Reshure "a.k.a. Erik Kokkonen", is well on his way. With a musical style far beyond the norm of most of the artists I have heard lately. Melancholy neo classical overtones and dark personal lyrics and a dash of Darkwave make for a yummy eclectic mix of music...Smooth and flawless, Reshure created a genre all of his own. To classify these fantastic works in full detail is impossible. A must hear for yourself cd. Tunes for the "avante garde" music listeners, sure to please the discerning ear.
