Press Reviews
This stuff's gonna blow your toupee right off, gramps. Unapolagetic, undulating, irresistibly head-bangin' rock of the kind that made music so damn good in the '70s. Stick a tour bus and a keg under these guys, and they'll be ready to take over the world! Good Gawd! Plumside are part of an army. Alongside bands like Jon Spencer, Guitar Wolf, and the Delta 72, they fight in a campaign to save rock and roll from painful obsolescence, using an arsenal of riffs, volume and attitude. They are best described as gifted throwbacks, recreating the stadium velocity of 70’s acts like AC/DC and Ted Nugent, focused on entertainment and gut reaction. They’ve even rediscovered something that many current rockers have forgotten—the prominent lead guitar, which here throws in wicked phrases and exclamations that make the music better, rather than bringing it to a standstill while the guitarist gets his musical rocks off. Perhaps less effective assault troops than noise vendors like Nashville Pussy, Plumside are instead strategists, utilizing their songwriting talent and bag of riffs to rock you all night long. |
