Artist History Liquid dreams of distorted scenes flitter in the swirl of stuttering fairy wings, immersing and emerging like the smoke of cigarettes caught in the confusion of one last exhale. Synapses rage with fury. Irises shutter in fear. There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home. There’s no such place as home. Taking fragile minds by the hand, our hosts for this dream sequence are Our Angel and Our Halo. There are several theories as to how we came about, but this entry from Our Angels’ journal seems to explain it the best: “All I could hear and see were images, voices, and melodies infusing themselves with static. From within the static came an image, Our Halo, pulsing with this strange energy. I had never seen him like this before. I couldn’t understand at the time, but I had this insatiable need to fulfill a deep hunger. I opened my mouth and swallowed him, absorbing and assimilating him into my mind. His energy streaked through my veins. His static penetrated my blood, organs, thought processes, and senses. My body seemed to swell. There was a roaring in my ears, and rays of light and static exploded from my eyes and mouth. We had become one, then. We became Mind Static.” Deep within the drone of a thousand flies, a still whisper is heard; a whisper which lulls the innocent child to sleep. Mind Static is that whisper – opening windows, unlocking doors, and creeping inside unsuspecting minds. As an entity, we exist within the realm of lucid dreaming. There is no separation of fantasy and reality to us. We have no limits. As things changed in the heavens, the Angel began to grow weary of her Halo. The circle surrounding her mind was tarnished with animosity and broken. She cast it aside, once and for all, to play her delights with the Digital Pagans.
