Artist description Last Week biography Last Week is a new and exciting pop/rock band from Long Island, New York, which has been playing together for almost four years. Through the years they have continued to progress musically and stylistically producing catchy and upbeat music. With a large fan base on Long Island, Last Week has managed to gain admirers throughout the Tri-State Area. The band has played shows in venues such as The Lion’s Den, The Limelight, and The Backstage as well as many others. With numerous shows under their belt, they have created a buzz and have been featured on college radio, as well as, Long Island’s most popular radio station 92.7 WLIR. Here is a description of each band member: Ido Zmishlany: Vocals/Guitar Ido Zmishlany is seventeen years old and is a senior at Lawrence High School. Ido the Lead singer and guitarist of last week is a very dynamic performer and Is passionate about his music. Ido began singing at the age of 5 and started writing songs by the age of of 11. At the age of 12 he could already play 5 instruments, including the guitar, drums, bass, piano, and trumpet. Now as one of the founding members of Last Week, and the prominent songwriter of the group, Ido has continued to write songs including the winner of an Honorable mention in the 2000 Grand Slam Song-Writing Contest, “True”. Yaniv Packin: Bass Yaniv Packin is seventeen years old and is a senior at Lawrence High School. He is an accomplished bassist and pianist. He plays with enthusiasm and high energy. Yaniv continues to contribute his musical prowess to the band. He started playing bass at the age of 11 and was able to pick up the instrument very quickly. Matt Reich: Guitar Matt Reich, a freshman at George Washington University provides exciting and powerful guitar riffs coupled with his back up vocals. Matt, one of the founding members of Last Week is a dynamic and versatile guitar player and continues to be an asset to the band. He picked up his first baby guitar at a very early age and has developed a wide range of ability. He has had numerous teachers and influences. Matt has won several awards for his musical talents throughout his schools and communities. He lives to play music. Neal Saini: Drums Neal Saini, a sophomore at New York University and has been playing with the band from the start. He first started playing drums seriously at the age of 13, primarily playing jazz. Neal has evolved into a versatile rock drummer providing a steady and dynamic beat that propels the band. He continues to mature and grow as a drummer adding more elements to a variety of percussion styles and allows the rest of the band to rock out.
