Signed to Columbia Records at the age of 19, John Parker Compton and his acoustic band APPALOOSA burst upon the music scene with the critically-acclaimed LP 'Appaloosa' produced by legendary musician/producer Al Kooper. Compton and Appaloosa co-founder Robin Batteau recorded their second LP for Columbia 'Compton & Batteau In California'. Compton recorded his first solo w./band LP 'To Luna' at Bearsville Studios, in Woodstock, NY. (VMC Disc-Reissue) In 1995, Compton recorded his second solo w./band CD for VMC Disc. In 1997, Compton recorded a "Live on Vermont Public Radio" CD for VMC Disc. |
