Artist description
Jim Campilongo is a busy working guitarist based in the San Francisco Bay area. The San Francisco Examiner calls Jim "… The City's own guitar God...." Billboard Magazine describes Jim as "…a walking encyclopedia of guitar...." He has released four critically acclaimed records on the Blue Hen Label http://www.bluehenrecords.com and has a fifth record (Jim Campilongo Live At The DuNord) to be released in November 2000 on Ethic Records http://www.ethicrecordings.com. Jim's credits include sessions and performances with recording artists as diverse as Rickie Lee Jones, Peter Rowan, Pearl Jam, and Cake. Jim is also a regular contributor to Guitar Player Magazine and Axe Magazine (Italy/Europe) as well as a published teacher in the "Sessions" guitar instruction book published by Hal Leonard. |
