Artist History
We formed in 1997 under the name THREAD HEAD and the BURNERS. After gigging the jersey scene for several years, we broke up following the loss of our founding member, THREAD HEAD (aka Johnny Binks.) Johnny was found horribly murdered in the back alley during one of the last shows on our BALL BITER tour. Years passed and we went our own ways. In May of '99 FR (our old bassist) called us up to get back together to perform at his dad's funeral (the old man wanted it that way... could we argue?) The night of the funeral, we got piss ass drunk and wrote and recorded "They Can't Kill Us All!" in FR's lo-fi studio. It was a bone-a-fide BALL BITER but seemed to say what we were all feeling at the time, with FR's dad and Johnny dead and all. Another year passed with all of us thinking about that night. We couldn't leave it at that. No real rock band would end on such a lame-ass note. So, putting our pussy feelings aside, we got back together under the name HIGH OCTANE in July 2000 and invaded the studio one more time.... |

Press Reviews
"Decent song ... [sucks] kinda like Dave Mustane from Megadeth. Still, big points for the idealism...they can't kill all of us rockers."--AOR / Melodic Hard Rock" "Sounds like Megadeth, with a hint of Def Leppard. Noisy and abrasive yet melodic with the help of some keyboard. Good song!" - the Iowa City Scene Radio |
