After five rounds of live and recorded competition and an endless number of critiques and judging by music biz professionals (from Universal Music, BMG, SFX, Album Network, etc.), the Llamas proved why they are one of the best unsigned bands on the road today! Artist History Compared to the likes of No Doubt, Jamiroquai and The Dave Matthews Band, Bobby Llama was founded in Northfield, MN circa 1994. The Llamas spent endless hours rehearsing, gigging and honing their now trademark sound in the underworld of college venues. A live sound often compared to the likes of the Dave Matthews Band, Natalie Merchant, Paul Simon, Ani Difranco and Santana. In 1998, they graduated from St. Olaf College and re-located to Minneapolis. The Llamas have since performed over 350 shows in clubs, colleges, fairs and festivals from Coors Stadium in Denver to the High Sierra Music Festival in California to the Spinnaker Beach Club in Panama City, Florida. They will head into Pachyderm Studios this summer!
