Artist History
Full System Purge began in 1994 when another band that Eli, K1 and Akbar were in self destructed. K2 and Urje joined to fill the empty slots and thus was born Purge (original name). Through hard work, unique songs and tight live shows Purge quickly became a force to be reconned with and began headlining St. Louis and touring around the midwest. They recieved many accolades for their brutal but elegant sound and energy filled live shows. Purge was featured on many compilation CDs including two songs in two years on the Pointessentials series which spawned the birth of Gravity Kills, Th Urje, Mesh STL & Stir to name a few. Over the years Purge was featured on several National comp CD's as well as some comps in Europe. Flash-forward to now... purge has been re-born as FULL SYSTEM PURGE! To avoid legal hasles and to give the name more of an edge they dropped the old (overused by less-talented acts) "purge" moniker. Recently Urje and FSP parted ways in an effort to further the artistic vision and success of the band. Full System Purge is now exploding onto the national and international scene, playing music festivals such as Chicago's MOBFest and EAT-M in Las Vegas, picked to be featured music on extreme sports videos all while boasting MP3.com chart topping Industrial and Industrial Rock tracks. |
