Artist History
Michael: "I was raised in the South, and forced by my Grandma to attendthe local Southern Baptist church ... anytime the doors opened!. But,I loved to sing, and ... singing went on in those Baptist churches allthe time. It was in this southern gospel environment that I began to appreciateand understand the feeling with which these people sang. They were so full of emotionand honesty when they sang. I guess it just stuck with me. I can’t get up and sing, andremain ... well, quiet. I gotta let it out. Tell you how my day has been. How my life’sbeen going. Singing to me is a way of expressing. I have to sing. I get to take you withme. Make you feel what I feel. Let you inside a little bit. There’s a lot of stuff in thereand it’s gonna come out when I sing and play.""Regarding my guitar playing: I was complaining to a fellow picker once, that I wished I couldplay as fast as he did. He just laughed and said, that he wished he could put notes where Iput’em. He told me that good guitar players weren't necessarily that fast, but they knew whatto do with the notes they played." |

Press Reviews
TR Marshall for Blues On Stage: "I like the gruffness of Michael’s voice, it fits the group’s song selection well, and they play as a quartet without a featured member. Each solo demonstrates individual ability, but not at the expense of the group. I’m sure with the reception they received on their first visit to not only the Twin Cities, but also having never played in Minnesota before they will be back. Many bands try hard to build a following and my guess is they will have many more fans with each visit." |
