Artist description
In One Ear is a fun and versatile combination of skilled musicians. With piano, voice, violin, guitar, bass, and drummer, this group presents a wide range of musical options: traditional and contemporary, blues, Celtic, pop, and jazz. In One Ear has performed their original and covered tunes in large public venues such as the USU Stadium Fireworks Show, Summer-fest, and May Day; as well as in private settings. Listen to what one of In One Ear's audience members had to say about one of their performances: "[The] concert was a full house, as usual. And it wasn’t surprising that In One Ear got two encore-begging standing ovations. The crowd adored the musical massage Kate sang to their souls. They ate up Aaron’s rocking out on the violin. Austin Weyand’s mastery and soul on the guitar awed them. Jonny Decker’s creative genius on the string bass beat their hearts. They went crazy for Jeff Drury as he wore out his drumset."-Carrie Farmer: S.T.C. President |

Press Reviews
Jim Rowe has played with guitar legends-Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, and Hank Thompson. He raves, "I've heard them a lot, and they're a top-notch group. A cut above today's rock and roll. It was an honor to be asked to play with them.""If they want a real weakness, they can try to get me to sing. It's like ElmerFudd. They could go all the way if they got the right audience. But the CDsales are the criteria. I have one. And I play along with it. I have a greattime until the neighbors start pounding on the wall.""Aaron knows and loves his instrument. He needs to get his own CD out. The drummer…makes it look so easy. Kate, she's a great scooby dooby doo. I said to her once, you forgot the words, didn't you?" (She was scatting.) Rowe chuckled, "She didn't know whether to take me seriously or not. Tremendous voice and range. Pure clarity."Johnny needs to get his own CD out, too, for cryin' out loud. Austin is a top guitarist. See, I'm from the old school, where we felt our music. Austin has the soul and the technical. That's double dynamite. I think the world of him. He's the kid I never had, thank God." Jim Rowe echoes most fans' sentiments: "You just want to see the best happen to these kids. |
