Artist History
I decided to embark on the 'Classinova' project in the Summer of 1999. As I was trying to play Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" on my piano, I remembered how I was introduced to this music back in the 70's by the Rock Group "Emerson,Lake and Palmer" when they had recorded a 'Rock' version of it. I suddenly thought that if it hadn't been for them, would I ever have come upon such an amazing piece of music, and indeed decided to investigate any classical music at all. With the new sounds and textures avaliable to the modern musician via synthesizers and computers I felt that it would be interesting to give some of the 'Classics' some New Age treatment. I hope you like them. |
