Artist description Tyheim Malik & Dj Pioneer formed this hip-hop duo in the early 90's. Tyheim is the lyricist, creating conscious and real rymes that reflect the thoughts of a man that was raised in the inner city. Dj Pioneer is the inventor responsible for the head-bobbing bass tracks. Together these two artists form Tyheim & Dj Pioneer.

Artist History Tyheim & Dj Pioneer have known each other since they were Children. They were influenced by the "old school" rappers and producers. Being from the Washington,DC area, these artists did not have many local icons in the hip-hop medium to look up to, so they had to follow talent from other areas. Until recently the Washington Metropolitan Area was not considered a "music-hub," however, it has become a major stop for artists when promoting a project on the East-Coast. Yet the area still lacks a major or large independant record label. Therefore, these artists decided that it was time to share their talents with the world so they formed Tyheim and Dj Pioneer. This duo not only wanted to have their music heard but they also wanted to SOLIDIFY the Diamond District's (Washington,DC) position in "Hip-Hop."
